Beech-Nut Nutrition recalls rice cereal due to arsenic levels

DETROIT – Beech-Nut Nutrition is voluntarily recalling one lot of Beech-Nut Stage 1, Single Grain Rice Cereal as a result of arsenic ranges.

No sicknesses have been reported and no different rice cereal manufacturing dates or Beech-Nut merchandise are impacted by the recall.

  • Expiration date of May 1, 2022.

  • UPC Code No. 52200034705

  • Product codes 103470XXXX and 093470XXXX

The merchandise have been distributed nationally by means of retail shops and on-line.

The recall is because of a routine sampling program by the State of Alaska which discovered that samples from that lot examined above the steerage stage for naturally occurring, inorganic arsenic. The tips have been set by the FDA in August 2020.
