PRESS RELEASE

On April 7, 2021, the South Pasadena City Council unanimously accepted utilizing remaining funds from the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act to completely sponsor the Senior Services Division Nutrition Program.

The State of California allotted funding to the City of South Pasadena Community Development Block Grant (CDBG-CV) for an Emergency Rental Assistance Program. Unused funds from the Rental Assistance program have since been reallocated to the Senior Center Nutrition Program.

For April, May, and June 2021, all Nutrition Program individuals will obtain meals without charge. Starting July 1, 2021, all Nutrition Program individuals shall be billed once more based on the variety of meals obtained at $3.00 per meal.
