The Sunnywood Project’s Fit for the Wild encourages “want-to-be” runners or hikers at the beginning of their health journey to problem themselves whereas exploring inexperienced areas.
Both climbing and working programmes are over a six-week interval with much less difficult routes and distances, regularly rising every week.
Hikers will discover Kirklees Valley, Burrs Country Park, the Jumbles, Whitehead Lodges, Birtle and Holcombe Moor.
Runners will go at a tempo that fits them round Kirklees Trail, taking breaks when they should and avoiding busy pavements and tarmac.
