Waterford’s road race, fitness walk, fun run set for Oct. 9

The twenty third annual Waterford Fall Foliage Road Race, 5K Fitness Walk and One Mile Fun Run is scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 9, on the Waterford Common at 37 ME-35, throughout from Keoka Lake.

The 1-mile enjoyable run for ages 12 and youthful will begin at 11:30 a.m. and is free for all kids.

The 5K will begin at midday. The race is a difficult, scenic, out-and-back course alongside 37 ME-35, alongside Keoka Lake, to Sweden Road and again to the Common.

Funds raised will profit the Tony Waldeier Scholarship Fund. Scholarships are awarded to highschool seniors attending Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School, in line with a information launch from Waterford Community coordinator Kelley Halter Schaeffer.

The race price is $20 prematurely, or $25 on race day.
