It’s stated that each recipe tells a narrative. For Alina Teplinsky of Fair Lawn, the recipe is a standard Ukrainian borscht soup, and the story is of household and friendship.

“This recipe goes from technology to technology — my grandmother, my mom, me. I feel it is very important preserve the traditions and share the traditions with the folks,” Teplinsky stated.

Borscht is eaten all year long in Ukraine and is nutritious and filling. “It brings households collectively. It all the time serves because the dish for household dinners or throughout lunch,” Teplinsky stated.
