A FITNESS teacher goals to make use of her first indoor class at Wallyford following the easing of Covid-19 restrictions to assist youngsters residing in poverty.

Shirley Johnstone, who was introduced up within the village, is donating funds from the session to Forth 1’s ‘Cash for Kids’ 5k a Day problem.

The charity initiative seeks to enhance the lives of deprived kids throughout the Lothians, Fife and Falkirk who’re affected by poverty, sickness, neglect or have further wants.

Shirley, a former pupil of Wallyford Primary and Musselburgh Grammar Schools who moved to Prestonpans 37 years in the past after she bought married, has returned to her residence village to steer dance routines on mini trampolines at Wallyford Miners Club.

The firstclass takes place on May 19, from 6pm to six.45pm, when 15 trampolines will probably be obtainable.

Classes outdoors the Gothenburg in Prestonpans on Monday evenings will resume indoors on Monday, May 24, from 7.30pm to eight.15pm.

Shirley can be participating within the 5k a Day problem herself.

She stated: “It is nice to be specializing in 5k a Day, to offer me motivation to maintain going.”

Participants within the problem are requested to finish 5k of train every single day for 21 consecutive days by working, biking or strolling.
