
Animal feed and pet meals substances and components provider Trouw Nutrition began work on a $12 million enlargement of its Blending Innovation Center campus in Highland, IL on May 5, the agency introduced in a latest launch.
A 8,100-sq-ft pilot plant shall be upgraded into a brand new 32,052-sq-ft facility to allow Trouw Nutrition to pursue new enterprise alternatives within the pet meals business.
“This new facility displays Trouw’s continued funding in our US Companion Animal Division and the broader pet meals business,” Dan Baker, managing director of the agency’s US operations, stated in an announcement. “The addition will allow us to develop and broaden our distinctive ingredient choices for our clients to additional help pet well being and welfare for years to return.”
The firm plans so as to add capabilities that may enhance its skill to satisfy buyer specs.

Trouw Nutrition’s campus in Highland has a premix plant, warehouse, and two workplace buildings, according to The Korte Company, a design and development agency that was contracted for the venture.
Construction on the positioning is predicted to be accomplished by the top of 2021. Before it goes operational, Trouw Nutrition intends to hold out validation trials on the web site to ensure it meets the requirements of its pet meals operations.
